Virtual Valentine's Showcase

On February 12th 2021, the company launched with our first production; ‘Alls Well As it Ends Well’, a virtual online showcase of some of Shakespeare's much loved scenes revolving around the theme of love. The production was all in aid of fundraising for Blind Cupid’s goal of transporting Shakespeare to the Costa Blanca in Spain, and to enable audiences of all nationalities and backgrounds to be able to engage with the work of the Bard.

The event was a huge success, with audiences and actors from across the globe getting involved in the production. The multinational team of 20 were an array of actors and musicians, zooming in from America, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, the UK and more. The show comprised of 13 scenes/sonnets/songs plays including Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Twelfth night, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Henry V, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and of course, All’s Well That Ends Well.

Produced in the midst of the global pandemic, and set around a time of year that loved ones are encouraged to show their affection for each other, and on this occasion perhaps could not, we wanted to bring some joy and frivolity into the lives of both the cast and audience alike. We are eternally grateful to all those who donated to us so generously, giving beyond our wildest expectations.

If all this has tickled your tastebuds, then you are in for a treat, as you can still access the production online via our YouTube account here!
